How to block trackers on Google Chrome?

Data privacy and security has been an area of biggest concerns arising amidst technology advancement. You had probably seen major tech giants caught for tracking user data and distributing it to various firms or domains. Safari, which is the default browser of mac os has been one of the safest browsers to date with extra features added to do away with web trackers. You can get this feature on your google chrome browser as well. In this blog, I am going to discuss “uBlock Origin”. It is a browser extension which can monitor, block, and keep our data away from the web trackers on a various harmful website. You can download it from Chrome Webstore.

Click “Add to Chrome” to add the extension to your web browser. It is a fairly simple adding process. Once it is fully loaded to your browser, you would be able to see it in your extensions list. You can click it and check the information about the blocked trackers.

If you want to make some changes to the default settings or permissions of this extension, you can do it in the following steps:

  • Click on Three Dots at the top right corner below the close button
  • More Tools
  • Extensions
  • From the list find “uBlock Origin” and click details to manage permissions and preferences.
  • Site access: from the options chose as per your requirements.
