Vacation mode has been suspended after being in the pipeline for almost a year. WhatsApp had previously introduced a feature for muting notifications of an unwanted group chat without leaving a group. However, the archived chats reverted to an unarchived state with a new message popping in. To do away with it, WhatsApp started working on Vacation mode for almost a year. Though it was a much-awaited feature, surprisingly they have abandoned it and called it off completely.
